Trivia
- The name 'Nick' is possibly a reference to 'Old Nick', which is a nickname for the Devil.
- When Friction match is yanked from Castiel by the Darkness, his true class appears equally Nick for a moment before he disappears.
- Nick is the second vessel whose body is restored specifically for an angel to possess as his vessel. The other vessel is Jimmy Novak whose body was restored by God for Castiel'south use. Equally revealed in Stranger in a Strange Land, Nick was actually resurrected to act as Lucifer's vessel dissimilar Jimmy who remains in Heaven.
- The method Lucifer uses to approach Nick is later used on Vince Vincente. Both are subjected to blood that horrifies them, and run across with Match who takes on the guise of their deceased lover or wife.
- Given the alternate reality version of Michael's inability to recognize the primary reality Match along with several other angels, Nick was presumably non the vessel of the deceased alternate reality Lucifer. Information technology is unknown who he used as Sam never existed in that world.
- Nick is the first vessel to survive the devastation of the angel possessing them. Sam speculates that as the archangel bract was designed to impale archangels, information technology left Nick unharmed aside from the wound in his side where Dean fatally stabbed Match.
- Before Flavor fourteen's Stranger in a Strange Land it appeared that simply Nick'southward trunk was restored to act as Lucifer'southward vessel. In Stranger in a Foreign Land Nick himself is revealed to have been resurrected contrary to prior belief.
- In Damaged Goods, Nick's true identity and crime spree is revealed to Sheriff Donna Hanscum when she runs his fingerprints. Even so, his total proper noun is never revealed with Donna merely calling him Nick and "some guy named Nick" when talking to Dean.
- When committing his murders, Nick takes no obvious precautions to forestall leaving behind forensic testify, fifty-fifty leaving the hammer he killed Arty Nielson with backside at the criminal offense scene, a hammer that he touched with his bare hand. This is why Nick's fingerprints linked him to the murders when Donna ran them. Presumably the police found his fingerprints at the offense scenes when they investigated and identified Nick equally the killer through them.
- The fact that his fingerprints could be used to immediately identify him suggests that Nick has some kind of criminal record that acquired him to be in the system. Otherwise, while his fingerprints could connect him to his murders, there would exist no reason for them to specifically place him by name.
- Nick is one of the but characters who were killed in the flavor where they were function of the chief roster, the other being Bela Talbot in Flavour 3.
- Nick being live at the time of Family Feud makes it unclear how Lucifer was able to repossess him as it has been previously established that when an angel leaves their vessel, they need permission once over again to reenter. At the time Lucifer reentered Nick, he was unconscious in a chair and did not announced to have consented. However, he may have been in a vegetative state, much similar how Donnie Finnerman was shown to be catatonic in Free to Be Y'all and Me. Angels also do non require exact consent, equally Gadreel was able to possess Sam through his subconscious. Some other possible caption is that when Lucifer left Nick's body, he left the door open up a crevice in his mind so that he could render at will as Michael did with Dean as seen in The Spear.
- In Prophet and Loss, his total proper name can be seen on his infirmary bracelet: Vaught, Nick. Nick Vaught is the name of a one-time PA and current author's assistant and writer on Supernatural. It has not been confirmed that this is Nick's real surname.
